An exceptionally deep meaning here that I don’t yet fully comprehend – but this song grabbed me by the heart this morning as I contemplated a special significance of last year’s day of Tisha B’Av. For almost forever, this has been a day of deep sorrow, mourning and fasting for the people of Israel – but I believe last year was a turning point in this, perhaps pointing to a soon fulfillment of Zechariah 8:19, that the Ninth of Av will become a “season of joy and gladness, and a cheerful feast” for the people of Israel.

Lord, let Your light, light of Your face shine on us
Lord, let Your light, light of Your face shine on us

That we may be saved
That we may have life
To find our way in the darkest night
Let Your light shine on us

Lord, let Your grace, grace from Your hand fall on us
Lord, let Your grace, grace from Your hand fall on us

That we may be saved
That we may have life
To find our way in the darkest night
Let Your grace fall on us

Lord, let Your love, love with no end come over us
Lord, let Your love, love with no end come over us

That we may be saved
That we may have life
To find our way in the darkest night
Let Your love come over us
Let Your light shine on us
