With the direction things seem to be going for our nation politically, I’m beginning to feel a deep anxiety. It doesn’t look like there will be any candidate on the ballot in November who can be counted on to stand for Godly principles, to honor God in his or her choices for our nation.

Now, it’s not like this has never happened before. We’ve survived through some awful presidencies. But there’s something about this time that we’re now in, where it seems that so many things are coming to a head, which says that the only possible way forward from here for our nation is to get the right man into the driver’s seat. And every candidate who held the promise of maybe being that right man or woman, is being eliminated from the race. So what are we to do? Is there any hope for our nation?

At this point the only thing left at my disposal is what the Scriptures were telling me a few days ago, about what to do with anxiety like what I’m feeling today – (see here) – to take it as a call to prayer. Our Father is the God of the impossible.
