“Do not fear, O Zion;
The LORD your God is with you,
he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
he will calm your fears with his love,
he will rejoice over you with singing.”
Wow. I’d never thought about this before – but what a blessed thing it will be when one day in His presence… is this too much to hope for? That with our own ears we might hear our Father sing His song – the song that He Himself sang as He fashioned us in our mother’s womb, preparing us for every good work that He had in store for us. “He will rejoice over us with singing.” What a beautiful picture. What a blessed hope.
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’
