In just a week is a relatively uncommon event. This year the several systems for identifying Passover and Easter are converging on the same weekend, with the Passover lamb being sacrificed Friday evening April 6, followed by resurrection morning Sunday April 8, very much like the original event 2000 years ago.
Some of us celebrate Passover. Some of us celebrate Easter. But they really go together, like two sides of the same coin. Maybe this year can be a special opportunity for us – a chance to fully embrace the significance of both sides, from God’s promise, to the beginning of its fulfillment 2000 years ago, to its completion which is still to come.
