Today’s health tip – If it feels like you might have a urinary tract infection, before you rush off to the doctor for antibiotics, do a quick check to see whether your body might just be dealing with too much acidity. Put two teaspoons of baking soda in a glass of warm water. Ignore the taste and just drink it. Then wait ten minutes and see if the pain has significantly lessened. If so, you’ve identified the problem and probably don’t need antibiotics.

To deal with overacidity on a longer-term basis, you might want to try more fruits and vegetables and less processed foods in your diet. This is just a bottom line I’ve gathered from things I’ve read on the internet about sources of acidity, which I really don’t know how to objectively verify. But I don’t think you can go wrong with fruits and vegetables 🙂
