You know you’re not as young as you used to be when…

  • you have to go hunt down your glasses before you can clip your fingernails
  • you find yourself returning to the house multiple times for things you forgot, and still come up short in the end
  • you forget what you were looking for before you find it
  • you have to look in the mirror to find your glasses
  • you end up shampooing your hair twice (or sometimes not at all) because you weren’t sure whether you’d done it yet
  • you begin to understand your anatomy better than ever before, as one by one those muscles you used to take for granted announce their retirement
  • you experience a greater degree of serenity than ever before, because you don’t remember what you used to worry about
